SERVICES OFFERED

TREATMENT
This is guided by the findings of your assessment. It may include: pain management/ injury prevention/injury recovery/rehabilitation or lifestyle change, to name a few.
The number of Physiotherapy sessions necessary depends on you and will be discussed with you.

MOBILE PHYSIOTHERAPY
When it comes to experiencing difficulty within the environments you find yourself needing to navigate in your daily life- whether it be your home, work or even recreational environments- it is often more effective to tackle the task within the environment it needs to be performed.
On the other hand, you might just prefer to stay within an environment you're familiar with or you might not have the time to travel to the Physiotherapy clinic.
In these scenarios, we are happy to meet you and provide our services where you prefer.

SOFT TISSUE MANIPULATION
Muscles, fascia, tendons and ligaments are considered your soft tissue.
Hands on techniques can be used to bring about relaxation and improve flexibility of your muscles. It can also be used to remove waste product and reduce inflammation, while encouraging fresh blood flow, to promote healing. Soft-tissue manipulation can also be used to encourage breakdown of scar tissue as well as relieve pain.
Soft-tissue manipulation is commonly used in combination with movement to bring about long term effects/relief.

JOINT MOBILISATION
This is a hands on technique applied by the physiotherapist to loosen up stiff joints that may be causing pain and limiting your movement.

DRY NEEDLING
Dry needling is the process of inserting a thin needle into a part of the muscle that is stuck in a contracted (knotty) state. This brings fresh blood flow and endorphin release to help relieve pain and help the muscle fibre to release its contraction. A release of muscle contraction improves the muscles flexibility and allow you to move more easily. It also relieves the pain that might have been referring by the muscle “trigger point”.

ELECTRICAL STIMULATION
Light electrical currents are used to calm down the nervous system to reduce pain. It is also used to decrease inflammation and encourage fresh blood flow into the targeted area to encourage healing.

Should you be needing facilitation in your office or work environment, provided it is allowed, we will come and treat you there. (Perhaps you don't have any time other than lunch time, or you specifically struggle with pain during your work day, for example).
